The trial production of SWRH82A hot rolled bar for steel wire in Anyang Steel is introduced. The end point carbon content is not less than 50% by controlling high carbon in converter in order to reduce the amount of carbon addi- tive, reduce production costs and reduce inclusions in steel. The slab internal quality is controlled by the low speed casting and weak cooling process. The performance of the wire rod can meet the standard requirements and customers＇requirements through using controlled rolling and controlled cooling.
