功能翻译理论指导下的博物馆解说词英译研究初探——以江苏省徐州博物馆为例

A Research on the Museum Commentaries Translation under the Guidance of Functional Theories of Translation

博物馆解说词的英译不仅是翻译问题,而且体现了译者对本民族文化的尊重和认同。本文以江苏省徐州博物馆为研究对象,以功能翻译理论为基础,尝试提出博物馆解说词英译的三原则:准确性原则、目的性原则、跨文化交际原则。并以此为指导,通过对博物馆解说词的典型案例进行分析、重译并证明这三条原则的可行性,以期能够更好地指导博物馆解说词的英译。

The translation of museum commentaries not only concerns the translation activity but also demonstrates a translator＇s respect and identification for national culture. The author of this essay takes Xuzhou Museum in Jiangsu Province as an example and tries to put forward three principles： the accuracy principle, the skopos principle and the cross-cultural communication principle on the basis of Functional Theories of Translation. The author aims to prove the feasibility of the three principles by analyzing and re-translating some typical Chinese-English translation cases and hopes they can provide guidance for the translation of museum commentaries.
