清代哈密办事大臣设置时间考辨

A Study of the Date of Establishment of the Superintendent in Hami by the Qing Dynasty

史料记载清代哈密办事大臣的设置时间颇有出入,甚至自相抵牾,本文对诸种观点进行了考辨,认为哈密办事大臣始设于乾隆二十四年。其因军兴而设,统一后因处于交通咽喉,事务浩繁,虽屡经奏请裁撤而得以保留,一直到光绪十年新疆建省才予以裁撤。

There are different records in historical materials about the date of the establishment of the Superintendent in Hami by the Qing Dynasty and they even contradict with each other. This paper examinates various viewpoints and suggests that the first establishment of the Superintendent in Hami was in the 24 th year of Emperor Qianlong＇s reign. This post was eatablished for military necessity at first. After the unification of Xinjiang by the Qing Dynasty,though request had been made repeatedly to the court for the abolishment of this post,the important traffic position and numerous administrative affairs extended its existance until the establishment of Xinjiang Province in the 10 th year of Emperor Guangxu＇s reign.
