法庭的一间闷热的小办公室里，人人都恹恹欲睡的。经过一个上午的疲惫工作后，职员们都满心希望快点儿休息，好去吃午饭，甚至连法官也不能免俗，当终于审到最后一桩案件的时候，他暗暗松了一口气。嫌疑人是一个小个子的中年男人，他头发已经灰白，一对蓝眼睛几乎眯成一条线。
