China has the long history of drinking tea and is rich in tea resources. Chinese tea culture has evolved for several thousands of years and accumulated knowledge of drinking tea. Nowadays, the tea industry is moving forward with the integration of nutritional and healthy elements. The in-depth processing of tea and extensive utilization of tea resources significantly invigorate the current tea industry, and new heahhcare and even medical products are expected to be developed by using tea resources. This review gives a brief introduction of tea beneficial health effects and then presents the current utilization of tea resources for biomedical purposes.
