科技期刊编辑初审工作方法探讨

Study on First Review Methods for Sci-tech Journal Papers

初审稿件是编辑的一项基本工作,工作量大且任务繁重,但同时它又是一项重要工作,初审环节是保证期刊质量的基础,直接决定着期刊整体工作效率。结合自身编辑工作实践,对稿件初审工作方法进行了归纳总结,认为应该本着"客观、公平、严谨"的原则,从"适用性、创新性、实用性、规范性"4个方面对科技期刊稿件进行初步评判。此外,编辑应该主动学习,不断积累专业知识和实践经验,以提高初审工作质量和效率。

First review of papers is one of the basic tasks for editors as it features heavy workload and arduousness. It is also of great importance to scientific and technical journals as first review is the guarantee of journal quality and has a critical effect on the work efficiency of periodical offices. This paper gives a summing up of first review methods and advocates to follow the principles of objectivity,equity and preciseness to carry out an initial appraisal on manuscripts from the aspects of suitability,innovativeness,practicability and normalization. Besides,it suggests editors to study actively to accumulate professional knowledge and work experiences in order to improve their review quality and efficiency.
