摘要
中外合作办学项目的英语教学有特殊性,基于"通用英语"的中外合作办学项目英语教学存在一定弊端.以浙江水利水电学院为例,从中新合作办学项目现状和学生专业学习对英语的需求角度分析,用教改实践案例说明专门用途英语(ESP)教学应该成为中外合作办学项目英语教学必不可少的组成部分.
English teaching for China-foreign cooperative programs has its own characteristics. There exists some shortcomings in English teaching of present programs,which usually focuses on EGP（ English for General Purpose）. After analyzing the situation of the joint program and the students＇ requirements of English for international mainstream courses,the teaching reform practice is illustrated and ESP is proved as a necessary part of English teaching for cooperative programs.
