本文总结了国际上关于R&D的收益率研究的结果,结果表明:政府和私人资助R&D,其收益率是相当可观的。曼斯菲尔德关于基础研究与技术创新的定量研究,令人信服地证明基础研究在技术创新活动中起着重要的作用。本文对曼斯菲尔德的研究方法做了评述,并指出其存在的局限性。

This article summarizes the results from the studies on the investment rates of return in R&D.The results suggest that the rates of return for private and public R&D spending are considerably high. Mansifield's quantitative researches on academic research and industrial innovation provide convincing arguments that basic research plays a critical role in industrial innovation. This paper reviews Mansifield's approach and points out its limitations.
