对于英语专业综合改革的几点思考

Reflections on a Comprehensive Reform of the English Major

近年来,我国高校的英语专业存在学生数量相对过剩、人才培养质量不高以及学科定位不够清晰等问题。笔者基于自身的教学研究经历,对英语专业改革的相关问题进行了思考,并尝试提出某些应对策略,例如缩小专业规模、提高生源质量;优化师资培养、改革教师业绩评价体系;明晰学科定位、走多元和特色化发展之路。

In recent years, there have appeared many problems in colleges and universities： the relatively surplus English majors, the low quality of talent training, and the unclearness of subject orientation of the major of English. The writer, based on his own experience of teaching and research, conducts a deep consideration into those problems encountered during the process of reforming the English major, whereby he attempts to give some coping strategy, such as narrowing the English-major scale,improving the quality of student source, optimizing the teachers＇ training, reforming the evaluation system of teachers, making clear the discipline orientation, and taking the way of pluralism and characteristic development.
