中国听力通道缺失者的英语时空隐喻垂直维度研究

摘要 通过实验考察中国听力通道缺失者垂直维度的英语时空隐喻特点,研究听力通道缺失是否影响被试者在表征时间垂直维度的英语词汇方面显示出知觉和动作水平的一致性效应。实验证明,听力通道缺失者在视觉和运动觉方面均未形成与健听者类似的"上-过去""下-将来"的垂直维度英语时空隐喻,视觉通道和运动觉通道的代偿不能够完全弥补听力通道缺失者对于时间概念的感知。因此,在针对听力通道缺失者的英语教学中,帮助其区分手语中异于健听者的时间、空间概念的语义差异,有助于其形成类似健听者的垂直维度的英语时空隐喻。 This paper explored the features of vertical dimensional time-space metaphors of English in Chinese hear- ing impaired people in order to investigate whether the subjects would show consistency effect of aesthesia and kin- esthetic modality. According to the test, Chinese hearing impaired people gave no "up-past, down-future" reac- tions to the time-space metaphors in both visual and kinesthetic modality. The results illustrated that the compensa- tion of visual and kinesthetic modality could not entirely remedy the lack of auditor modality, and that the lack of auditor modality got an effect on the formation of vertical dimensional time-space metaphors of English in Chinese hearing impaired people. Therefore, Chinese hearing impaired people have to be aided to distinguish the semantic differences in the concepts of time and space different from normal hearing people, which will contribute to the for- mation of their vertical dimensional time-space metaphors of English similar to the normal hearing people.
