论洛阳地区的抗美援朝运动

On Luoyang's Movement for the War to Resist U. S. Aggression and Aid Korea

朝鲜战争爆发后,洛阳人民在中国共产党的领导下,成立洛阳抗美援朝分会,开展时事宣传教育活动,聆听志愿军归国代表报告,掀起参军参战、拥军优属热潮,踊跃捐献飞机大炮,订立爱国公约、增产节约,全力以赴支援抗美援朝战争,为抗美援朝战争的胜利作出了应有贡献,同时促进了国民经济的恢复、发展及其他各项工作。

After the outbreak of the Korean War, the people of Luoyang under the leadership of the Chinese Com- munist Party, established the Luoyang Branch of the War to Resist U. S. Aggression and Aid Korea so as to promote the current situation education activities, organize the people to listen to the reports by the returned voluntary sol- diers, instigate the booms of joining the army fighting the war and supporting the army and offering preferential treatment to the families of the armymen and martyrs, donate money actively to buy aircrafts and artilleries needed in the war, sign patriotic conventions and increase production and practice thrift to fully support the war. This movement contributed effectively to the victory of the Korean War, and, at the same time, the Branch promoted the recovery and development of the national economy and work of other aspects.
