基于多用户虚拟世界的英语口语学习新途径的探索研究 被引量:1

摘要 研究如何利用三维虚拟环境开展教学活动,辅助英语口语的学习,并采集数据对教学效果进行有效地评价。目前,英语口语学习的瓶颈在于:缺乏逼真的语言学习环境和相应的社交活动。为解决这一问题,借助Second Life提供的三维虚拟环境,学生足不出户就可以模拟真实世界的社交活动。采用定性和定量相结合的方法进行研究。以某非英语专业大一的班级作为实验对象,设计和实施了一个学期的教学活动,教学活动以情景式角色扮演为主。在教学的过程中使用Machinima纪录学生在虚拟环境下的活动影片,定期组织学生观看。实验结束后,对实验班和参照班的口语水平进行测试,结果显示实验班的学生在反应能力、口语的表达能力和流畅程度上有一定的优势。
