从接受理论视角看通俗小说的英汉翻译

E-C Translation of Popular Fiction from the Perspective of Reception Theory

接受理论将传统的文学研究焦点从作者、作品转移到了读者,突出了读者在阅读过程中的积极作用。以《教父》汉译本为例,从接受理论视角分析通俗小说英汉翻译的特点,提出适用的翻译策略,以期增强译者对译语读者的关注度,从而提高译文的可读性。

Reception theory generally shifts the traditional concern in literary studies from the author and the text to the reader, highlighting the active participation of readers in the process of reading. This paper attempts to explore the translation of popular fiction from the perspective of reception theory through an in-depth study of two Chinese versions of The Godfather and proposes a suitable translation strategy, hoping to enhance translators＇ awareness of the impor- tance of readers and thus to improve the readability of translations.
