从翻译目的论角度谈英文电影片名的翻译

On Translation of English Film Titles from the Perspective of Skopostheory

电影是文化的一个重要载体,是文化的一种艺术表现形式。好的电影片名更加容易抓住观众的眼球,以吸引人们去观看。德国功能学派的翻译目的论对电影片名翻译有极大的实践指导意义。从翻译目的论的角度对英文电影片名翻译策略进行探讨,提出在翻译目的论的指导下,通过运用音译、直译、意译及多种翻译方法相结合的策略,能准确传神地完成英文电影片名的翻译,从而实现其商业目的。

Films are an important carrier of culture. It is also a kind of art form of culture. A good film title can easily attract the audience and allure them to watch. The skopostheory of German functional school is of great guiding significance to the film title translation. This paper discusses the strategies on the translation of English film titles from the perspective of Skopostheory. Based on the Scopostheory,the following translation strategies are proposed in this paper： transliteration,literal translation,free translation and the combination of various translation methods. With the guidance of Skopostheory and the application of these methods,one can accurately complete the translation of English film titles,which enables them to achieve their business purposes.
