Lu Xun, F. van Eeden and B·R·Epomehk, though from different countries, found spiritual resonance in fairy tales. Born in the late 19 th century, confronted with similar predicaments in life, and burdened with the same responsibility, all the three reflected on the grave topics like the essence of life, the ideal existence, and the aesthetics of life in the poetic and symbolic fairy tales, and proposed a poetic culture of childhood innocence, nature and wildness.
