On the Image of “Crane” in Bai Juyi's Poetry

白居易以自身的诗歌创作实现了唐文化向宋文化的转型,白诗中思想倾向、人生态度、语言风格的转变是唐宋文化转型过程中值得研究者倾注的部分。意象是诗人情感宣泄的纽带,诗歌意象的选择与转变也是这一文化转型研究不可忽视的方面。白居易比唐代任何一位诗人更频繁地使用鹤这一意象,其笔下的鹤意象扮演着几种不同的角色,闪动着诗人自己独有的思想志向,并对宋代文人在诗歌创作意象选择方面产生了深远影响。

The stylistic change of Bai Juyi＇s poetry can be studied by the researchers to get a better understanding of the cultural change from Tang Dynasty to Song Dynasty. Poets use the poetic image to pour out their feelings. Therefore, selecting the poetic image is very important and the change of it cannot be ignored as well. Bai Juyi was good at using the poetic image of ＂crane＂ to express his thoughts than any other poets in Tang Dynasty. The poetic image of ＂crane＂ played several different roles in his poetry, reflecting his mind-set, and deeply influenced the choosing of poetic image of those poets in Song Dynasty.
