摘要
The traditional paper-cut of Yuxian (a county in northern China's Hebei Province) enjoys a great reputation, at home and abroad, because of the distinct skills -- incised carving and stippling -- used to make the crafts. The paper-cuts, which originated during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), are widely used as decorations on windows. It has often been said that Yuxian's paper-cuts are "a beautiful symbol of Chinese art."
