On Prevention and Control of Violent Terrorism in Xinjiang

近年来,新疆地区的暴力恐怖犯罪愈演愈烈,对我国经济和社会建设造成了巨大危害。要有效防控暴恐犯罪,必须标本兼治、双管齐下。"治标",即对当前猖獗的暴恐犯罪必须从严惩治,遏制其蔓延势头;"治本",乃是要从犯罪学视角找寻犯罪根源,从而对症下药,消除暴恐犯罪的诱因与条件。

In recent years,the violent terrorism crime in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is becoming more and more serious,which has caused huge harm to the economic and social construction. To prevent violent terrorism crime effectively,both its symptoms and root cause should be strengthened. The temporary solution is to punish the current rampant violent terrorism crime strictly,and controlling its development; the fundamental solution is to seek the essential reason from the criminology angle,so as to suit the remedy to the case and eliminate the causes and conditions of the violent terrorist crime.
