Finding a way to upgrade the shipping legal system in free trade zone——a summary of the Shanghai Shipping Law Forum in 2014

2014上海航运法治论坛围绕着自贸区航运政策、自贸区航运税收制度、无船承运业务监管、自贸区航运保险业发展的法治保障、自贸区仲裁规则以及自贸区海事纠纷的司法实践等问题深入讨论了航运法治问题,将国家的航运中心战略和自贸区战略结合起来,为创新航运政策、拓展中心功能、提升服务水平寻找新的突破口。

The subjects such as, shipping policy innovation, shipping tax system reform, NVOCC regulation, the develop- ment of marine insurance law, arbitration rules ,judicial resolution of maritime disputes under the circumstance of free trade zone have been discussed with in-depth in the Shanghai Shipping Law Forum this year. It becomes imperative to properly combine the national shipping center strategy and the free trade zone strategy together for the upgrade of shipping policy, ex- panding the well function and improving the service level of the shipping industry.
