摘要
民国佛教慈善学校分为一般小学、佛化小学、工读学校、文化补习学校等几种。这几类学校根据自身的情况确定不同的办学宗旨和教学内容,并采用先进的教学方法和多样化的德育手段。觉民小学等慈善学校有较为完善的内部管理机构和管理制度,并注重发挥学生自我管理的作用。民国佛教慈善学校对当时国民教育的发展、佛教的复兴都有一定的促进作用,也能为当代佛教慈善事业的发展提供借鉴。
Buddhist charity schools of the Republic of China (1912--1949) generally can be divided into general elementary schools, Buddhist elementary schools, training schools and cultural make-up schools, to name only a few. These schools determined their respective educational aims and teaching contents according to their own situations. They also adopted advanced teaching methods and diversified means of moral education. Charity schools such as Juemin Primary School boasted more perfect internal management organizations and management systems and paid attention to giving full play to students' self-management. The charity schools in the period of the Republic of China stimulated to a certain extent the development of the then national education and the revival of Buddhism. They can provide references for the development of the contemporary Buddhist charity.
