马克思市民社会理论认为,市民社会具有历史性和发展性。市民社会的形态演变,即政治形态、经济形态、文化形态的分离与变化,与公共理性和社会伦理道德的构建具有内在关系。这一理论对于推动中国道德治理向生活性转变,实现道德的生活性和生活性的道德的统一具有借鉴意义。
