Analysis on Leng Meng's Pursuing for An Ideal World in Her Novel—Xiliu City

《西榴城》是冷梦2011年推出的一部长篇力作,尽管作者饱含深情地礼赞真善美,鞭挞假恶丑,但故事的发展却一步一步揭示出作者情感的复杂性,她希望生活在西榴城祖先曾经创建的那个美好单纯的世界,可那已成了遥远的过去;愿意生活在如今这个繁华富饶的世界,可这已变成了丑陋的欲望的世界;渴望生活在大西洋那个绿色的小岛,可是却那么遥远,那么迷茫。所以,作者怀着一种复杂的心态在思考到底何处是我家园,何处才是人类生存的理想国。

Xi Liu City is a full-length novel written by Leng Meng in 2011. Although the author highly praised the good qualities and criticized the ugliness,her emotional complexity was gradually revealed with the development of the story：in the novel,the author wanted to live in the pure Xi Liu city created by the ancestors,but the beautiful city has never existed again;she was willing to live in the present prosperous world,but it has become ugly,full of desire;she was eager to live in the green island in the Atlantic ocean,but the island was so far and confusing. Therefore,the author thought about the following question in a complex mentality：where is my home,where is the ideal world for people.
