论林兰童话的民族性与现代性——中国民间童话编辑出版的一个范例

On the Nationality and Modernity of the Version Collected and Edited by Lin Lan: A Model of Editing and Publishing Chinese Folk Fairytales

民国时期署名为林兰的八本《中国民间童话集》,作为新文化启蒙转化为商业出版的成果,不仅影响了一代读者,而且在国内外学者中享有极高的称誉,可以说是国内最接近《格林童话》水准的中国童话丛书。林兰童话的采编理念独具一格,对当下童话的编辑出版仍有可资借鉴之处:一是大有格林兄弟为追求民族精神而收集童话之风,使故事充盈着强烈的民族气息;二是采取了以本乡文人录写本乡故事的具体做法,不避重复地采录故事,透露着追忆的情怀和讲故事的兴味;三是有意识地贯注了现代精神,使童话与"成为一个独立、自由的个体"这一命题关系更密切。

As one of the achievements of commercial publication following the New Culture Movement, the eight-volume series of books on Chinese folk fairytales in the name of Lin Lan have not only influenced an entire generation but also earned a world-wide reputation. In a sense, the literary value of Lin Lan＇ s fairytales equals nearly the Grimms＇. Lin Lan＇ s editing idea is unique, which is still of great inspirational value to the editing and publishing of contemporary fairytales. First of all, like the Grimms, Lin Lan spared no effort to collect fairytales filled with national spirit, which made the fairytales imbued with strong ethnic flavor; in addition, the editor encouraged authors to pick and record stories from their own hometown, even if those stories had similar plots, so that the authors enjoyed telling stories and the sense of regaining lost time permeated the book; lastly, the modern spirit which was consciously introduced enabled the fairytales to be closely related to the proposition of ＂being an independent and free individual＂.
