"述而不作"思想对中华传统文化特性的形成具有非常重要的作用,其不仅具有丰富的学术意蕴,更具有深厚的道德意蕴。这个思想与中华的"天人合一"思维之间有着极为密切的关系。"述而不作"不是不要作为,而是不"妄为",这正是"天人合一"思维在学术领域的体现。钱穆是20世纪学通四部的国学大师,他的很多著作都离不开"天人合一"与"述而不作"。透过钱穆的《中国思想通俗讲话》一书,能加深对"天人合一"与"述而不作"关系的理解和对中华文化特性的把握。

The thought transmitting without making-up has very important effect on the formation of traditional Chinese culture characteristics, It not only has academic connotation , but also has profound moral implication. It relates closely to the thought of unity of heaven and mankind. It deesn＇ t mean nonfeasance but means control, which embedies the thought in academic field. Qian Mu was one of the greatest masters of Chinese couture who had a good command of Chinese literature, most of his works involved these two thoughts, one of his works, Chinese Thoughts, for particular, can help us to understand the relationship between these two thoughts and Chinese culture characteristics better.
