This paper introduces the status and development of seasonal natural ice storage technology. It also explores its technical feasibility. Seasonal natural ice storage technology not only saves energy saving but also protects environmental. However,there are some factors that limit it. Based on calculation of cool energy balance in typical buildings,seasonal natural ice storage technology has a good prospect in some cold areas and some areas where it is hot in summer and cold in winter. 2figs. ,1tab. ,18refs.
