Objective It is to observe the effects of MOTOmed Viva 2 virtual scene training treatment on lower limb muscle tension and gross motor function in children with spastic cerebral palsy. Methods 41 cases of children with spastic cerebral palsy were divided into the MOTOmed group (21 cases) and control group (20 cases) by random number table. Both the groups were treated with routine rehabilitation therapy, while additional MOTOmed virtual scene training was used in the MO- TOmed group. Before treatment and 3 months after treatment, the muscle tension in children's adductor, hamstring and gas- trocnemius was evaluated using Modified Ashworth Scale(MAS) , standing, walking, running and jumping function were eval- uated with D and E area of the 88 items version of Gross Motor Function Measure( GMFM -88). Results After 3 months' treatment, all the observation indexes in addition above except the hamstring muscle tension were improved in both groups(P 〈 0. 05) , but the improvements in MOTOmed group were better than that in the control group ( P 〈 0. 05). Conclusion MO- TOmed virtual scene training can further reduce the adductor and gastrocnemius muscle tension, and improve the lower limb gross motor function in children with spastic cerebral palsy.
