Investigation on the Use of Personal Tri-language in Garze Prefecture of Sichuan

甘孜州是内地通往西藏的交通枢纽、藏汉贸易的主要集散地。多语言、多文化长期触碰、融合而和谐共生,个人藏汉双语现象早已存在。随着该地域的开放和旅游、文化、语言教育的发展以及市场经济所带来的多种语言交汇触碰,个人用语表现出多样性和复杂性。经调查发现:全州通用藏、汉两种语言文字,藏汉双语现象日渐增多,但英语使用人群很少。

Garze Prefecture is the transportation junction from the inland to Tibet as well as the distribu- tion center for Tibetan and Han traders. There has been multi - language and multi - culture to communi- cate, mixing and then coexisting harmoniously. Bilinguals （ speaking in Tibetan and so have existed for a long time. Due to the further development in tourism, culture common speech） al- and language educa- turns out to be of diversity and complexity. According to the investigation, we can get the conclusion that Tibetan and Chinese coexist harmoniously, even the bilin- gual use of Tibetan and common speech increases gradually, while English is spoken in a small scale.
