The " Cultural Turn" in Cognitive Linguistics

摘要 认知语言学的发展呈现出失衡迹象,主要表现为重体验性、轻文化性;重个体性、轻社会性;重普遍性、轻差异性;重共时性、轻历时性。其根本原因在于对语言的文化维度重视度不够。在后现代主义思潮下,"文化"越来越受到学者们的重视,结合语言与文化的关系以及认知语言学自身的不足,本文认为认知语言学未来的发展方向应该结合"语言、文化、认知"三者的研究,由此提出认知语言学的"文化转向"。 Cognitive linguistics exerts an imbalance in theory development, which is mainly characterized with more emphasis on embodiment but less on cuhure, more on individuality but less on sociality, more on universality but less on difference, more on synchronicity but less on diachronicity. The basic reason lies in the inadequate emphasis on cultural dimension. With the ideological trend of post - modernism, scholars are attaching more and more importance to " culture". Given the close relationship between language and culture and the defect of cognitive linguistics, this paper states that the future study of cognitive linguistics will be a study of " language, culture and cognition", and Buts forward the" culture turn" in cognitive linguistics.
