严子均是近代宁波商帮中的代表人物之一,他为严信厚独子,子承父业,经营宁波通久源纱厂等企业和老九章、物华楼等名店,参与创办四明银行和宁绍商轮公司,曾任上海商务总会协理等。他掌管下的源丰润票号不断进行投资,对近代中国民族工业有一定的促进作用,进一步扩大了宁波商帮的影响。

One of the representatives of Ningbo commercial group and the only son of Yan Xinhou, Yan Zijun followed his father’s step, running Ningbo Tong Jiuyuan mill factory and some famous shops such as Lao Jiuzhang and Wu Hualou, and co-founding Si Ming bank and Ning-Shao wheel company. Once serving as the Shanghai business coordinator, he played a promoting role in modern Chinese industries and further expanded the influence of Ningbo commercial group by ongoing investment.
