摘要
本研究采用定性研究方法,对天津地区15所高校的60名学生进行了半开放式访谈,以探究学生视角下高校优秀英语教师的素质特点。研究发现,学生视角下的高校优秀英语教师既具备作为"职业人"的优秀专业素质,又具有作为"社会人"的鲜活个人魅力。研究结论丰富了我国高校优秀外语教师素质内涵,为高校外语教师职业发展提供了方向,同时对我国当前高校教师评价体系有所启示。
In order to seek the data regarding the characteristics of proficient university EFL teachers from students' perspectives, the authors in this study, adopting a qualitative research, conducted semi-struc- tured interviews with 60 students from 15 universities in Tianjin. The result of this study suggested that pro- ficient university EFL teachers, in the eyes of university students, were characterized by good professional qualities as professionals as well as good personal traits as social individuals. The result not only enriches previous studies of qualities of Chinese proficient university EFL teachers, but also sheds light on the pro- fessional development of university EFL teachers and present university teacher-appraisal system in China.
