摘要
作为中国茶文化核心典籍,陆羽所撰《茶经》的英译对中国茶文化在西方世界的传播极具价值。本文在系统功能语言学框架中,对比分析中美两国译者的《茶经》英译本在传递原文概念意义、人际意义以及语篇意义的差异,对两个译本的翻译效果进行综合评价,为茶典籍翻译实践提供借鉴,以促进我国茶文化的有效译介和传播。
The Classic of Tea written by Lu Yu is an important classic of Chinese tea culture, and its trans- lation is of great significance to spread Chinese tea culture. This paper, from the perspective of systemic functional linguistics, explores the application of functional analysis to the comparative study of English translation of The Classic of Tea, with case studies on its two English versions translated by the American translator and the Chinese translators respectively, focusing on the transference of the ideational, interper- sonal and textual meanings of the source text. It is hoped that this study will provide some reference for the translation of Chinese tea classics.
