Zheng Zhen-duo's Translation Spirits and Theories

郑振铎是我国现代著名的爱国主义者、学者、作家、文学评论家。然而,他在翻译领域所作出的贡献却鲜少被提及,相关的系统研究也屈指可数。以郑振铎的翻译实践及论著为基础,从翻译的初衷、地位以及具体的翻译方法,对其相关的翻译思想与理论作出归纳与评价。

Zheng Zhen-duo is a famous scholar, writer, literature critic in modem China. However, his great contribution in the realm of translation is seldom mentioned. There are only a handful of systematic researches related. Based on Zheng＇ s practice and published opinions, this paper sums up and evaluates his spirits and theories on translation from three perspectives, that is, translation aims, status and techniques.
