南京图书馆藏《澳门新闻纸》考订

Notes on Aomen Xinwenchi(Macao News)Collected in Nanjing Library

论文考订南京图书馆所藏《澳门新闻纸》抄校本应是1917年至1927年之间抄成,其底本可能是邓邦述的藏本,而内容并未包含林则徐当年命人译报的全部。至于完全撷取《澳门新闻纸》内容编成的《澳门月报》,其编者应是魏源而非一般说的林则徐,而且魏源的编辑导致《澳门月报》的内容和《澳门新闻纸》有明显差异,距离英文报纸的原文也更为遥远。

The present study finds that the collated manuscript of Lin Zexu＇s Aomen Xinwenchi （Macao News）, now the collection of Nanjing Library, should be copied later between the years 1917 and 1927 and probably based on another copy owned by a bibliophile Deng Bangshu. However, not everything that Lin＇s translators had translated was included in this coUated manuscript. It is further found that the compiler of Aomen Yuebao （Macao Monthly）, of which the contents were entirely taken from Aomen Xinwenchi, was not Lin as generally thought, but was Wei Yuen. Wei＇s compiling works made Aomen Yuebao quite different from Aomen Xinwenchi, and even more different from the original English newspapers.
