摘要
普林斯顿大学通识教育课程包括分类必修领域、写作和外语。基于"让每位学生都能获得真正的博雅教育"的理念,分别为文学学士和工程学士设置个性化的通识课程。通识教育采用分类必修模式,超越专业界限,注重培养学生的写作能力,实施严格的考核制度,建立完备的质量保障体系,对我国通识教育的改革与发展具有重要启示。
In Princeton University, the General Education Program (GEP) consists of distribution areas, writing and foreign lan- guage. Based on the idea that "every student could get real liberal education" , Princeton designs characterized GEP for the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Engineering. Princeton adopted the distribution requirement model, transcended the boundaries of specializa- tions, emphasizes on developing students' writing ability, implemented strict curriculum assessment criteria, and established a com- prehensive curriculum quality assurance system. All these measures offer great inspirations for the reform and development of general education in our country.
