Key Problem in the Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Perspective of Medicine Evaluation

中药现代化要解决的核心问题,一是解决中药自身的问题,二是解决如何用药的问题。中药本身的问题可分为两个方面,一是经过现代化的改造以后传统中药将以何种形式呈现;二是如何通过现代化手段实现中药质量的有效控制。如何用药的问题亦可分为两个方面,一是中药用药与适用患者的严格界定和匹配性研究,即中药使用的对症问题;二是中药使用剂量与临床疗效的关系,即中药用药剂量的准确性问题。

About the core problems of the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, the first one is of Chinese medicine itself, and the second one is how to use the medicine. The problem of Traditional Chinese medicine itself can be divided into two aspects： one is in which form traditional Chinese medicine will be presented after the modernized transformation; the second is how to achieve effective control of the quality of Chinese medicine through modern means. Similarly, the problem of how to use medicine can be divided into two aspects, one is the strict definition and matching research of Chinese medicine treatment and the applicable patients, namely applying the medicine according to its indications; another is the relationship between traditional Chinese medicine dosage and its clinical efficacy, namely the dosage accuracy problems of Chinese medicine.
