The Living Present

永恒的现在是活生生的,因为事情永远处于正在发生的状态,既不是已经发生,也不是将要发生。事情正在发生的瞬间,是有厚度的、复杂的、被折叠起来了的瞬间,因为瞬间从来就不曾以单纯的状态出场,就像表面似乎不变的场面其实是剧烈动荡的。此瞬间已经含有了彼瞬间,这种包含的实际效果,往往就是"永恒的现在"之性质永远是不一样的、不重复的、出人意料的。善于享有生活者,就是善于体察这些正在发生着的意外。

The eternal present is a living existence, because things are always in a state of happening, neither concluded nor to be started. The transient moment when something is happening is one with thickness, complexity, and folded structure, because the transient moment is never present in a simple state, just as the seemingly stable surface that contains violent unrest. This transient moment already contains the other transient moment, and the actual effect of this containing relationship means that the nature of the ＂eternal present＂ will never remain the same, never repeated, but always unexpected. Those who know how to enjoy life are those who can discern these unexpected happenings.
