Political Values of the “Second Generation Migrant Workers”

当第一代农民工渐渐退出人们视野时,农民工二代成为焦点。这群在城市中长大的孩子不可能离开城市回到农村,他们希望最大程度地融入城市生活,而融入的最高境界是政治参与。但对他们来说,城市的疏离又使他们难以融入,这种边缘身份对于他们的人生产生重要影响。当前,农民工二代政治意识虽然较低,但快速发展空间很大,随着自由、民主、权利及平等观的不断发展,群体政治行为越来越成为可能。因此,要加大对农二代移民倾向、城市化中的社会矛盾、农二代政治诉求对社会稳定的影响及政府制度化参政道路建设等方面的研究。

The second generation migrant workers become the focus when the first generation of migrant workers were gradually out of the vision. The second generation growing up in cities could not leave the city to the countryside. They wish to maximize in city life and the highest realm is political participation. But for them, cities＇ alienation make it＇ s difficult for them to blend in and this edge identity influence their lives a lot. At present, the second generation migrant workers＇ political consciousness is still low but with rapid development and big space. With the development with freedom, democracy, right and equality view, the second generation migrant workers＇ political behavior is becoming more and more possible. Therefore, we should increase the research on the second generation＇ s immigrant tendency, social contradictions in urbanization, political demands＇ influence on social stability and political institutional participation way etc.
