The dramatists dealt with the sources boldly, flexibly, and skillfully. They omitted or added the biblical materials elaborately and made the chosen materials dramatic, comic and cotemporary, so that the original content in Bible appeared different so as to fulfill the dramatist＇s multiple intentions such as religious, entertained and commercial.
