On the CPC's ethnic policies during the Red Army's Long March in Yunnan and its influence

红军长征先后经过12个省市区,曾两过全国少数民族成分最多的省份云南,为了顺利通过少数民族地区,同时团结各族人民共同革命,实现革命的目标,党在这一时期制定了一系列民族政策,开展了卓有成效的民族工作,为红军长征顺利通过云南奠定了基础,为长征的最后胜利做好的准备,同时更对云南的政治、经济、文化以及民族关系等产生了深远的影响。

The Red Army passed 12 provinces of China during the Long March, and twice passed Yunnan province which ranks first in terms of ethnic groups. The CPC worked out practical ethnic policies and carried out lots of fruitful ethnic tasks for the sake of passing Yunnan smoothly and uniting all ethnic groups for the realization of the revolutionary goals, which helped lay a solid foundation for the final success of the Long March and exerted a far - reaching influence on the politics, economy, ethnic cultures and relations.
