As the first black female writer awarded the Nobel Prize for literature, Morrison calmly thinks about her own nation carrying the toxins of over return to tradition, cold and unenlightened black community and frequently happened violence there, etc. She keeps a close eye on how to maintain the essence of black culture and its fine tradition, at the meantime the black people should actively liberate themselves and integrate into the American society.
