摘要
《空床日记》是玛格丽特·德拉布尔晚期的代表作。从热奈特的叙事聚焦理论来看,小说的叙事聚焦呈现出以内聚焦为主,零聚焦为辅,最后呈现出内外聚焦交换使用的规律。多重聚焦叙事不仅充分展现了作者高超的后现代主义写作手法,也为读者展示了一位身处生存困境的老年女性从迷失自我、自我救赎至回归与超越的成长的画面,体现了作者对陷入生存困境的老年女性的人文关怀。
The Seven Sisters is the masterpiece of Margaret Drabble during her late writing years. Based on Gerard Genette' s narrative focalization theory, the narration of the novel is centered by internal focalization, supplemented by zero focalization and with some switching back and forth between internal and external focalization. The multiple narrative focalizations not only represent Margaret Drabble' s excellent narrative strategies, but also display the readers a desperate old woman' s growth process, that is the process of self - lost, self - finding, self - regression and then to return to the reality and transcend herself successfully, which implies that Margaret shows great humanism for the aging women who are in living di- lemma.
