The Rhetoric Analysis on Romans in Holy Bible from the Perspective of New Rhetoric Theory of Kenneth Burke

20世纪美国著名修辞学家肯尼斯·伯克提出的新修辞理论包括两大修辞理论:戏剧五位一体理论和同一理论。《罗马书》是《新约圣经》中非常具有影响力的一封书信,利用新修辞理论对《罗马书》进行分析,发现了行为主体将何种关系比和怎样的因果关系前景化,以及修辞情景中的隐含动机。也可以看出传教士如何运用一系列修辞策略吸引读者,达到传教和鼓励信徒的双重目的。

This paper made a detailed analysis on Romans in Holy Bible,with the model of discourse analysis according to the theory of new rhetoric,which was put forward by the celebrated American rhetorician Kenneth Burke in 20 th century.New rhetoric theory involves two major rhetoric theories,which are dramatic theory and identification theory.In this paper,the emphasis of the analysis was laid upon two parts,that is,the inner motives of Romans and its realization.
