摘要
我国高职公共英语教学多年来是围绕EGP的教学,随着我国经济的发展和对外交流的增加,社会对既精通业务又能用英语进行涉外业务交流的较高层次应用型人才的需求量越来越大,而仅仅围绕EGP的英语教学难以将语言学习和专业知识结合,难以使学生学以致用。基于需求分析理论和ESP理论特点,高职公共英语教学应将ESP与EGP合理结合,这是突出职业特色、适应社会需求的必然选择。
In China, higher vocational public English teaching is the kind of teaching of EGP for many years. With the development of economy and the increase of foreign exchange, the market demands for the applied talents with higher levels proficient both in business and foreign communication in English are getting more and more stronger, while, the EGP teaching mode is difficult to combine language learning and professional knowledge as well as to make students put knowledge into practice. Based on needs analysis theory and the characteristics of the ESP theory, public English teaching should combine EGP and ESP which is the inevitable choice to embody the features of vocational education and to meet the needs of society.
