中国电影字幕翻译之“切”的原则

On the Appropriate Subtitle Translation of Chinese Films

在中国电影日益走向国际的今天,其字幕翻译成了不可或缺的一部分。本文以几部近年来在国内外获大奖的影片为例,用"信、达、切"中"切"的原则,从意图、意义和格式的角度来分析中国电影的字幕翻译,并提出一些个人的建议。

While Chinese films are becoming more and more popular in the world, the quality of their subtitle translation should be paid serious attention to as it could directly affect the audience＇s acceptance of China＇ s film art. This paper analyzes the subtitle trans- lation of several well-known Chinese films from the perspective of ＂appropriateness＂ according to the real contexts before offering some translating principles into the bargain.
