Philosophy and the Spirit of the Information Age: Comments on Wu Kun's Philosophy of Information

邬妮教授对于信息科学和哲学及其与一般哲学的关系的重要贡献，刚开始为国外学者所认识。邬炕的研究与一种非标准、非真值函项的逻辑，即现实逻辑，相互支撑。这一逻辑乃是对法籍罗马尼亚人斯特凡纳·卢普斯科的开拓性工作的发展。基于邬妮的理论和这种逻辑，许多的批评性术语和概念将因其对科学哲学的特定影响而获得重新规定。因此，不妨将这种结合的理论作为关于一种演化中的信息社会的规范伦理学之发展的必要因素。

The major contribution of Professor Wu Kun to the science and philosophy of information,and their relation to philosophy in general, is only beginning to be recognized outside of China. In this paper, based on the small part of his work available in English, I discuss its relevance to a philosophical spirit in the information age. I have found that Wu's approach both supports and is supported by a nonstandard, non-truth-functional logic(Logic in Reality), an update of the pioneering work of the FrancoRomanian thinker Stéphane Lupasco. In this hermeneutic process, many critical terms and concepts will be found to require redefinition based on both Wu's theories and this logic, with particular impact on the philosophy of science. I propose our combined theory as, among other things, a necessary component in the development of a rigorous ethics for the evolving information society.
