The factors affecting high resilience foam elasticity are summarized, such as cell open- ing rate, cell shape, cell size and its regularity. Within a certain range, the higher the cell open- ing rate, the better the resilience. The resilience of spherical cell is higher than that of the other shapes. Under the stress, the deformation of larger apertures is irreversible, and the deforma- tion of smaller cells is reversible. But the aperture is not as small as possible, and there is an optimal value. The resilience of foam is better with the increasing of cell density. So in order to obtain the greatest possible cell density, it requires reasonable cell size distribution.
