中国现代文学的发生

The Emergence of Modern Chinese Literature

依照不同时代学者们对"现代"和"现代文学"的不同理解,他们对中国现代文学的发生时间与发生过程存在不同的表述。现时代应该在更为开阔的视野上理解现代文学的"现代性"。近代以来传统文学自身问题频生,又不断遭遇外部挑战,从而促使了人们变革/革命意识的产生。近代文学是传统文学和现代文学之间的过渡期,逐渐积累了现代文学发生的各项条件,包括报刊业的兴起,新文体的盛行,白话文的倡导等,而直接的社会文化背景则是政治体制的变化。中国现代文学发生的摇篮是新文化运动,文学革命反对文言、提倡白话,反对旧文学、提倡新文学揭开了现代文学的序幕。

What is “Modern”？What is “Modernity”？Looking back on Modern Chinese Litera‐ture ,we should think about these issues .The time and way of getting into modernity in different na‐tions in our world are different ,which have a very close relationship with the rise of industrial civiliza‐tion ,the popularization of rational enlightenment ,and the more systematic life style .So we have to study Modern Chinese Literature from the overall framework of the modern civilization of human be‐ings .Only in this way ,we are able to accurately grasp the rise and development of Modern Chinese Literature ,then to further explore its rule of evolvement of the Modern and even the Contemporary Chinese Literature .When and how did the Modern Chinese Literature emerge？Some very significant writers ,theorists ,historians of literature all gave their different answers and responses .
