Mr. President, Mr. Secretary General, Distinguished Delegates and Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen, It gives me great pleasure to address the 54th Annual Session of the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization （AALCO） held in Beijing. This year＇s manual session is highly significant as it coincides with the 60th anniversary of the Bandung Conference. China was an active participant of that meeting and a proponent of its principles. Countries in Asia, Africa and the rest of the world have worked together to maintain world peace and pro- mote common development, and are forging a community of common destiny. Here I wish to express, on behalf of the Chinese Government, our warm congratulations on the opening of the meeting and warm welcome to all of yOU.
