布鲁杆菌病是一种自然疫源性疾病。在哺乳动物中广泛存在。布鲁杆菌在野生动物中的保菌机制尚不清楚,但在布鲁杆菌病传染源保存、流行起十分重要的作用。啮齿动物是野生动物监测布鲁杆菌病的常见观察对象。一些地区用试管凝集试验、虎红凝集试验等对野生啮齿动物布鲁杆菌存在情况进行了调查,这些动物的感染率分别为：鼠兔0.78%,喜马拉雅旱獭3.24%,旱獭1.88%~18%,灰尾兔13.33%。布鲁杆菌在人间低流行期的保菌动物是近年来一个研究热点,文章就啮齿动物布鲁杆菌的自然疫源性作一综述。
