On the Translators' Subjectivity in Translation on the Perspective of Culture

在跨文化交际中,英汉两种语言承载着不同的文化内涵,译者在跨文化翻译中处于中心位置,他要与两种语言,两种文化打交道,因此,译者在翻译时不仅要如实地传递原文作品的各种信息,而且要采取适当的翻译策略,创造性地发挥自己的主体性,将主体性概念引入翻译研究,可以帮助提高译作的正确性,减少甚至消除译者在翻译中的语用失误,使跨文化交际活动成功进行。

Chinese and English connote themselves differently in cross - cultural communication. A translator should be the center in translation as he must play a role of subjectivity and command simultaneously appropriate translation strategies and approaches in or- der to convey faithfully the information of the source text so that he enables the target readers understand the culture both. Subjectivity is a very important philosophical concept, which is applied in the study of translation. All in all, the translator＇s subjectivity may en- sure the quality of the translation and the successful communication through the reduction and elimination of the pragmatic failures.
